University of Macau Global Academic Symposium
Professor and Global Track Director Clark Llewellyn represented the program at the University of Macau’s Global Academic Symposium, an international event dedicated to the future of design, education, and global collaboration.
At the symposium, Clark discussed how Hawai‘i’s island culture continues to shape our perspectives on community, place, design, and learning. He stressed the significance of staying connected to local identity while engaging with a world that is increasingly global and driven by technology.
As artificial intelligence continues to transform education and the design fields, Clark also underscored the enduring importance of human values, passion, and leadership. His message echoed a fundamental principle of the Global Track program: exploring the world while remaining rooted in culture, community, and a strong sense of place.
