AIA Honolulu 2019 Student Design Awards

Congratulations to GT7 student, Yuanyuan Wu, for winning an AIA Honolulu 2019 Student Design Award! Her future airport design proposal, "Aero Skin" has been previously shortlisted in the Fentress Global Challenge and is now being recognized by AIA Honolulu's annual Student Design Awards with Honorable Mention. The design integrates vertical airports into the city within the near future, challenging existing urban spatial organizations and promoting sustainable transportation.

The official announcement and recognition of her accomplishment took place at the Design Awards Celebration event held by AIA Honolulu at Jefferson Hall, East-West Center this past Saturday, September 14. Her work was featured alongside other UH Manoa graduate cohorts with outstanding studio design work and proposals.

Congratulations again to Yuanyuan Wu! We are proud to share this experience with you and witness your growth within our program as a recognized design professional and future architect.
