WBZD: Sharing the Global Track Experience

WBZD, an abbreviation for Wo Bu Zhidao, is a podcast led by students of the GT 14 cohort, designed to document and share their experiences of studying architecture overseas. This podcast provides a personal insight into the program, offering students a platform to openly discuss their time in Shanghai, their travels, studio life, internships, and the cultural experiences that define their year.

In each episode, students delve into topics such as adapting to life in a new country, dealing with cultural differences, exploring cities across Asia, and balancing academic with professional experiences. Discussions often go beyond architecture, emphasizing the friendships, challenges, unexpected moments, and daily experiences that are integral to living abroad.

WBZD also offers a chance for students to present diverse perspectives within the cohort. Through informal conversations, stories, and guest discussions, the podcast captures how each student uniquely experiences the Global Track journey while linking these individual experiences back to architecture, design, culture, and place.

More than a podcast, WBZD acts as a continuous record of the cohort’s year abroad. It enables students to reflect on their experiences in real time and provides future Global Track students, friends, family, and the broader community with a glimpse into what life in the program truly entails beyond the studio.
