Global Track student Ronny Nowland will maintain his connections with the EWC community and his graduate studies as a recipient of the East-West Center (EWC) Graduate Degree Fellowship.

Ronny was a Student Affiliate of the East-West Center, where he was a dynamic member of the EWC community and had access to subsidized housing before beginning his studies in China as a Global Track Dual Degree student. His good experience with the Center ultimately prompted his EWC advisor to encourage him to apply for one of the Center’s graduate fellowship opportunities.

Ronny was subsequently named an EWC Graduate Degree Fellow and received a fellowship that offers substantial support to graduate students. The two-year program includes housing at the East-West Center, coverage of up to nine credits per semester in tuition, and a stipend to help support the fellows while they study.

The fellowship will allow Ronny to continue making contacts in the East-West Center while developing his professional and educational development. His experience shows the opportunities that are available to those who are engaged in the international academic community and programs like the EWC.

Congratulations to Ronny on this achievement and the next chapter of his academic journey.
