GT15 Students Reach Midpoint of Summer Internship in New York City
GT15 students arrive at the halfway point of their summer internship in New York City with a week of reflection, professional development and exploration.
During their internship experience with Perkins Eastman, the students were able to join other summer interns from the New York office for a midterm pin-up. During the presentation, they shared their ongoing work and received feedback from architects across the firm, giving them a moment to reflect on their progress and refine their work for the rest of the summer.
Beyond the studio, the interns also took part in a citywide scavenger hunt throughout Manhattan. The activity gave students the opportunity to explore New York while visiting several completed Perkins Eastman projects and experiencing the firm’s work firsthand within the broader urban context.
With half of the internship now complete, the GT15 students continue to build their professional experience, expand their understanding of architectural practice, and engage with New York City as both a workplace and a learning environment.
